Advances the mission of the College and the University, along with advancing WMU's Strategic Plan 2022-32.
Oversees research, undergraduate and graduate education, enrollment management, academic and strategic planning, faculty and student development, grant and other external funding, collaboration with local, state or national agencies and institutions, and continuous quality improvement of the college's programs and management.
Works with faculty and staff to provide support for curricular improvement and achievement of a balanced vision for both undergraduate and graduate programs, including the provision of leadership with interdisciplinary collaboration. These activities include partnering with WMUx to offer innovative academic programming through online education and at regional locations to expand the scholarship and resources of Western Michigan University to learners and communities beyond Kalamazoo.
Fiscal oversight of the college within the WMU budget model and also will actively engage in fundraising and development activities to support the vision and mission of the college.

One of the top-100 public universities in the United States, Western Michigan University is committed to being learner centered, discovery driven and globally engaged. Founded in 1903, what was once Western Michigan College became Michigan's fourth public university in 1957. Since then, WMU has undergone dramatic growth in size and stature.
