Germanna Community College is enthusiastically seeking an innovative, student-centered, and equity-minded Coordinator of Career and Transfer Services. Reporting to the Dean of Student Development, the Coordinator of Career and Transfer Services provides leadership to enhance student success by delivering comprehensive transfer, internship, work-based learning, and employment services. The position is committed to fostering student development by assisting students with their transfer, career exploration, and employment needs.
The Coordinator of Career and Transfer Services is responsible for community outreach to build external connections with employers and transfer partners and for overseeing an internship advisory committee. This position is responsible for an equity advancement focus in employment and transfer opportunities for students. This position is also responsible for assessment and documentation of results of strategic planning tactics. The Coordinator of Career and Transfer Services oversees career and transfer advising processes for the Career and Transfer Center and leads activities and programming for the Center.
This position will be required to travel to all college locations and throughout our service community area. Additionally, this position will be required to attend meetings across the state and elsewhere as needed.

Â· Masterâ™s Degree in Higher Education, Counseling, Career Development, or relevant field
Â· 2 or more years of experience in a higher education setting with emphasis on career and/or transfer based academic advising, career development and counseling and/or work-based training and development
Â· Supervisory experience
Â· Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion
Â· Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Â· Ability to use data to monitor and assess programming
Â· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Â· Strong computer and technical skills
