The Instructional Designer assists with a variety of projects intended to enhance the delivery of the curriculum. Projects may span areas such as: curriculum and instructional design, accreditation reporting, assessment planning, faculty and student development, effective integration of instructional technology, and other areas as necessary. Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to: supporting the Director of Instructional Design and Assessment with quality enhancement projects and documentation related to curriculum and instructional design and assessment, consulting with faculty on the design, development, deployment, and integration of instructional events, methodologies, and materials, designing, developing, and facilitating faculty and student development opportunities and materials on topics related to curriculum and instructional design, methodologies, and assessment, championing compliance to federal regulations that impact design of instructional experiences and materials, such as: accessibility, copyright, HIPAA, FERPA, etc, investigating trends, best practices, and potential solutions related to curriculum design and delivery using academic databases, peer-reviewed literature, and other reputable sources, which may also involve assistance with related research projects. Performing other duties as assigned to support daily operations, such as scheduling and participating in meetings, authoring reports, collaborating with colleagues on related projects, supervising student employees, and preparing or distributing communications.

Masters -Education, Design or related area
· Master’s degree or higher in a discipline such as: Instructional Design, Educational Psychology, Education, Educational Technology, or related areas. Active enrollment or coursework in a Master’s degree program in one of the indicated disciplines may be considered for candidates who hold a Baccalaureate degree and meet all other required and desired attributes.
· Formal teaching experience, preferably in higher education, or extensive formal faculty training experience in higher education.
· Frequent, documented experience designing, developing, and/or facilitating formal training and/or formal training materials.
· Web research experience, particularly via academic databases and peer-reviewed sources.
· Experience producing audio/video content and writing scripts desired, but not required.
