Directs, supervises, and executes programs and services related to academic advising. Reporting to the dean and in conjunction with the associate provost for student success, oversees delivery of academic advising and student development programming; manages the college's scholarship program; provides leadership for college-based student recruitment and retention activities. Oversees all aspects of academic advising to advance student success and degree completion. In conjunction with the associate provost for student success and college counterparts, helps establish best practices and student-centered advising policies for adoption University-wide in order to advance the student success and retention efforts. May require travel.
A master's degree and three years of experience in academic advising; experience in program development and implementation; previous leadership experience; experience in two or more of the following areas: academic advising, academic program development, program accreditation process, career advising/placement, student recruitment, academic services, or academic administration. May require travel. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and to coordinate complex activities and projects. Excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrated organizational skills.
A master's degree in counseling, student affairs, or a related field.
