Job Summary: | Marist College invites applications for an Archives and Special Collections Librarian. Responsibilities include: manage research services for the Archives and Special Collections; complete original cataloging of archival collections; write, edit, and reformat archival finding aids; advise and instruct Special Collections’ users on available resources; contribute to digital library projects, exhibits, and outreach activities. Manage the general preservation and maintenance of the collections. Assist with the maintenance of the Archives and Special Collections’ on-line database. Participate in collection development. Prepare and deliver class presentations and demonstration. Work with the Director of Archives and Special Collections to secure grants and other donor support for the Archives & Special Collections. Supervise student employees and volunteers in the Archives and Special Collections. Take part in college community and academic activities. Participate in professional organizations. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned. |
Minimum Qualifications: | - A Master's degree in Library/Information Science is required
- A minimum of 1-3 years experience in the field is required

- Tuition Benefits:
- Up to 16 undergraduate credits per semester. Up to 18 graduate credit per academic calendar. Eligibility extends to employee, spouse, and dependent children under age 26.
- College pays 100% tuition only.
- Eligible dependents may be Reimbursed up to $2,000 per semester towards tuition at another accredited institution.
