Summary Position Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Global Education, this 12-month, full-time position oversees Elon's signature Study USA programs and other global experiential learning opportunities offered through and in coordination with the Isabella Cannon Global Education Center (GEC). Additionally, it provides leadership for communication and outreach across GEC programming.

General Purpose of Position Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Global Education, this 12-month, full-time position oversees Elons signature Study USA programs and other global experiential learning opportunities offered through and in coordination with the Isabella Cannon Global Education Center (GEC). Additionally, it provides leadership for communication and outreach across GEC programming.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversight of Study USA
Collaborate with academic units to create and expand pathways for students to academically progress through participation in Study USA.
Manage School of Record relationship with The Washington Center.
Propose and manage Study USA budgets in coordination with the GEC Director of Operations
Oversee marketing and outreach for Study USA programs, in coordination with the GEC Communications Manager and regional center staff.
Contribute to projects and planning related to experiential learning on campus and at centers, including coordination with Student Life on reporting for the Elon Experiences Transcript (EET)
Supervise one full-time staff member.
Drive the integration of inclusive and equitable practices across Study USA semester and summer programs.
Oversee DEI integration and training efforts for students participating in assigned programs.
Advise students on program selection for Study USA program centers and short-term programs.
Advise and manage students through the petition process for non-Elon programs.
Program Management
Serve as the program manager for assigned programs including Elon in LA.
Liaise with partner institutions sending students to the LA program, including assisting with the development of MoUs and other contracts, and in providing support for external students.
Develop and implement series of pre-departure workshops and a re-entry experience for students on assigned programs.
Provide crisis management support and counseling for students in assigned programs.
Advise students on Study USA and other GEC programs.
Responsible for data collection and analysis.
Create and maintain records of internships, alumni, and student resources, in coordination with the Student Professional Development Center, Alumni Office, and Student Affairs.
Provide support to Elon program faculty and staff throughout program duration.
Develop and conduct series of predeparture workshops and a reentry experience for students.
Health, Safety, & Security
Serve as health and safety point of contact in the GEC for Study USA and risk management programs, collaborating with others in the GEC and across campus.
Assist in crisis response for Study USA.
Outreach & Communications
Provide a strategic vision and plan for the GECs outreach and communication efforts
Develop and maintain a calendar for outreach and implementation
Oversee 1 MHE apprentice and provide guidance for the oversight of the GEC Comm Squad, comprised of 2-3 student workers.
Education and Experience Masters required, with a preference of 3-5 years of professional employment in a higher education setting, or the equivalent.
