Founded in 1967, Blue Ridge Community College has served the residents of the central Shenandoah Valley of Virginia for over 50 years. Its comprehensive program of instruction includes associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates in occupational/technical and college/university transfer programs. The College also provides non-credit workforce training and special interest classes for individuals, business, and industry.Position serves as primary administrator for testing center and campus tutoring program; duties include supervision of full-time, part-time, and student employees.Oversees testing center and ensure college testing is conducted in a high-quality, student-focused manner while maintaining exceptional commitment to academic integrity.Manages the campus tutoring program, including recruiting and retaining smart, skilled tutors to provide tutoring in face to face, embedded, and online environments; associate dean stays current with best practices in higher education tutoring and keeps BRCC at the cutting edge of delivery in this area.Supports academic deans with additional projects, to include TransferVA implementation, academic program assessment, and more.Position expected to have flexible availability, including occasional evenings and Saturdays.
Candidate must have a good work ethic and strong attention to detail.Requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects happening concurrently.Masterâ™s Degree required.Candidate must demonstrate a proven dedication to student service and a pattern of working as a team player.Must have a commitment to and an enthusiasm for the community college mission and environment.
