The University of Notre Dame seeks an Application Development Professional to understand our campus partners' opportunities/challenges and design/create/implement IT solutions to address those needs. The ideal candidate will collaborate with our campus partners to analyze business objectives, facilitate business requirements definition, and recommend/implement business processes/technical solutions that provide the best return on investment to the organization. They will also provide technical support, updates and maintenance related to a variety of services utilized by our campus partners.

This Application Development Professional position will primarily be part of the Campus Admin Applications team, which provides IT solutions and support for a variety of administrative units on campus, including Facilities Design and Operations, University Operations, Campus Safety, and University Events. However, depending on priorities and needs, they may be assigned to tasks amongst other teams within the Enterprise Applications division, which supports other campus departments such as HR, Finance, Enrollment, Registrar and Student Affairs.
This position is with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) at the University of Notre Dame. The OIT has been recognized for 10 consecutive years in IDG's Insider Pro and Computerworld's best place to work in IT.
Please note - this position is a limited term 1-year position.
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience evaluating, developing and implementing IT solutions
Experience designing and developing integrations to transfer data between various systems
Great attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Outstanding writing and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to learn and use new technology tools
Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as an application developer
Experience providing technical support for a variety of applications to address issues from end-users
Proficiency in use of integration (API) development technologies (PL/SQL, Ruby, Talend, Python, etc)
