General Description: Under the supervision of the Associate Dean of K-12 Partnerships, the primary purpose of the Career Coach is to assist high school students with determining career goals and opportunities identifying college programs that enable students to achieve those goals.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Possess excellent skills for planning, organizing, implementing new initiatives. Ability to establish, cultivate, and maintain positive/collaborative relationships. Strong problem solving skills. Effective communication skills (written and oral) in a variety of settings with people from diverse backgrounds, educational levels, and age groups. Possess a working knowledge of secondary and postsecondary education. Ability to work collaboratively with college and high school personnel. Ability to work effectively as a member of a team and with minimal supervision.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree required. Experience in secondary and /or post-secondary education. Demonstrated ability to build relationships, plan, organize, and implement programs and services. Experience with or demonstrated knowledge of career services, labor market demands or human resources preferred.
