The Honors College at North Carolina A&T State University invites applications for the position of Director of Student Programming. Reporting directly to the Dean of the Honors College, the Director of Student Programming will play pivotal role in fostering the comprehensive development and success of high-achieving students at all levels within the Honors community. This position involves designing, executing, and evaluating an array of student programs aimed at enhancing the academic, personal, and professional growth of Honors students.
Responsibilities include developing innovative co-curricular initiatives, providing tailored advising and mentorship, and fostering student engagement through strategic outreach and partnerships. Additionally, the Director will coordinate signature Honors College initiatives and events. Through ongoing assessment of student engagement initiatives, the Director will ensure the continuous improvement and alignment of programs with the Honors College mission and goals. Collaborating closely with the Honors College leadership team, the Director will play a central role in advancing strategic objectives and creating a supportive and inclusive environment where NCAT Honors students can thrive academically and beyond.
The NC A&T Honors College, founded in 2022, has approximately 1000 undergraduate students representing all academic colleges at the university.

The North Carolina A&T State University Honors College is the unit on campus responsible for creating a series of programming, curricular and co-curricular initiatives that assists high-achieving students excel in their college careers.

Requirements:
Master's degree in Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, Counseling, or a related field.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in student affairs, academic advising, or related field, preferably in a college or university setting.
Demonstrated knowledge of best practices in student program development, leadership development, and student success initiatives.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, and community partners.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present information in a clear and engaging manner.
Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds.
Experience with program assessment and evaluation, including the ability to collect and analyze data to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Preferred:
Experience in honors student engagement.
Demonstrated knowledge of student leadership development initiatives and experience working with student leaders.
