Job Summary/Basic Function:
The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) at the University of Millersville University is 100% federally funded through the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Migrant Education. CAMP was established to identify, recruit, admit, and enroll migrant and seasonal farm worker students and provide them with academic, social, and financial support to enable the completion of their first year of college.
It is the responsibility of the CAMP Recruiter to maintain contact with high schools to identify, recruit, and admit students into the CAMP program at Millersville University. In addition, on-site visits, as well as campus visits to educate the students about CAMP will be a large part of the recruiter's responsibilities. This position will require the organization of effective recruitment activities, therefore innovative and creative ideas are highly encouraged. Rapport building skills are essential to this position as the recruiter is responsible for creating and maintaining working relationships with students, schools, and community agencies.
The grant for this position will end June 30, 2026 unless renewed.

Annual Salary: $22.20 per hour.

Successful completion of three background checks.
Prior experience working with Migrant Students.
Participated in College Assistance Migrant Program and/or Migrant Education Program.
No or very limited physical effort required.
No or very limited exposure to physical risks.
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
Ability to sit/stand for long lengths of time.
Must work outside for up to 6 hours a day.
Must be able to lift/pull/push up to 10 pounds.
Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and mouse.

This position is represented by a labor union and is subject to the terms and conditions of the SCUPA- SUA & GFPC Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Ability to work remotely if required due to emergency university closure.
Must maintain a valid driver's license and ability to travel.
