The Student Affairs Assistant III (Supplemental Advisor) provides academic, transfer and career advising services to current and prospective students across multiple disciplines to develop career, academic and educational plans to achieve their goals. The Learning Support Assistant III (Supplemental Advisor) reports to the Director of Career & Academic Planning Services. This position uses varying styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multicultural workplace.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are the functions essential to performing this job:
1. Provide academic advising services to current and prospective students, including interpretation of placement tests, degree audit and curricular requirements, transfer requirements, academic policies, and application of college academic probation policies.
2. Provide assistance to current and prospective students to develop career, academic, and transfer plans to reach goals. Assist with exploration of majors and degree plans.
3. Assist current and prospective students with navigating and managing their degree plans in order to select courses for completion.
4. Track academic advising interactions and appointment summaries in Navigate.
5. Provide evening and Saturday coverage as required.
Salary: $32.00 hourly
