This position provides the initial information about WashU and counseling support for prospective students and their families related to WashU admissions, financial assistance, and the enrollment process.
Job Description
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Conduct on-campus information sessions for prospective students and families.
Support visit experience by supervising and managing day-to-day tasks of student staff serving in the assigned area.
Conduct interviews and family meetings with prospective students.
Work with Visit Experience Coordinators to deliver special group visit and special programs on campus.
Working at the direction of the Digital Marketing & Communications Strategist, produce and maintain content for official and all related departmental social media accounts.
Support the recruitment and selection efforts of department.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelorâ™s degree.
Familiarity and/or experience with specialized computer programs, such as CRM technology, is helpful, though not required.
Basic understanding of the function of the departmental office is ideal.
Fluency in second language is preferred.
Superior writing, presentation organizational and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint strongly preferred.
Ability to be able to effectively prioritize multiple projects.
Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external constituents including students, faculty, administrators, parents, alumni, vendors and others.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Ability to maintain and manage confidential and sensitive information.
Warm, pleasant, professional and outgoing personality.
Superior attendance.
Understanding of the importance of data capturing and record keeping to contribute to the overall success of department.
Excellent customer service skills.
Must have attention to detail.
Must be a team player and work with a positive attitude who is willing to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, changing environment.
Attendance at on-campus events.
Events may occur during normal business hours or in evenings and weekends.
Overtime is required.
Occasional travel to off-campus events may be required. Less than 10% of time.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent high school certification and four years related experience or a Bachelorâ™s degree.
Expertise with Microsoft Office, social media platforms, and other technology platforms.

Salary Range
$18.36 - $28.47 / HourlyThe salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
