Position Summary
The Department of Career Services is committed to leading a university-wide culture of career advising and professional mentorship to empower students and alumni to reach their unique career goals. The department invites applications for the role, Director of Career Services, located on the Oregon Tech Portland-Metro campus in Wilsonville, OR. The Director of Career Services leads staff on two campus locations (Klamath Falls, Portland-Metro) to direct departmental goals and outcomes for all campus locations.
The Director of Career Services will focus on four primary areas of priority within their job functions:
1) Industry and University Partnerships (35%): Engage with regional, national, and global business and industries to create strategic career service linkages resonating with Oregon Tech’s institutional excellence strategy as “industry’s university.”
2) Department Leadership, Management, & Supervision (25%): Lead department planning, management, and team success.
3) Career Readiness Project Management (15%): Serve as departmental project manager to move career readiness ideas to completion for student success.
4) Institutional Presence & Collaborations (15%): Create opportunities for department collaborations across all campus locations.
