The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of New Haven invites applications for a full-time lecturer (non-tenure track) position in Civil/Environmental Engineering with primary expertise in water resource and sustainable engineering. The position will commence in Spring 2023.
Responsibilities
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses and laboratories in water resource engineering and sustainability/resilience.
Teach general engineering courses, advise students, and mentor capstone design students.
Develop and teach online courses in water resource and sustainable engineering.
Perform service at the professional, program, departmental, college and university levels.
Qualifications
Master's degree or higher in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) Licensure/Registration or the ability to obtain the PE licensure within three years of initial hire is desirable.
Relevant industry experience is strongly preferred.
Candidates with interest in active learning, experiential learning, and student engagement are desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and commitment to collegiality and teamwork.
Authorization to work in the U.S.
