Preferred Qualifications: Master's Degree (foreign equivalent or higher degree). Highly proficient, professional experience in word processing, databases, spreadsheet management, electronic messaging and internet applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Apps, etc.). Experience with PeopleSoft Student Administrative Services. Experience with transfer credit evaluation process.
Brief Description of Duties: The Transfer Evaluation and Articulation Specialist serves as an important team member within Academic and Transfer Services with direct responsibility for transfer credit articulation. Builds and maintains course equivalencies, evaluates general education courses, collaborates with faculty, and upholds the highest level of academic integrity and data accuracy. The Transfer Evaluation and Articulation Specialist provides the highest level of transfer related services to students, staff, and faculty.
The successful incumbent will have excellent student service and interpersonal skills, exercising strong organizational and time-management skills with exceptional attention to detail. Essential for this role is the adeptness to work independently as well as part of a team with a collaborative approach to problem solving.
Build and maintain equivalents for courses offered at other colleges and universities for both new students and continuing students. Enter and monitor all transfer articulated data to ensure orientation, registration, prerequisite screening, academic advising, and degree audit processes are supported and current.
Collaborate with faculty and departments in evaluating major-specific courses.
Provide support with the maintenance of live database.
Provide high quality transfer-related services, including updating students' records and running queries based on transfer course evaluations to ensure the accuracy of the records.
Train, supervise student assistant/s assigned to assist with transfer articulation data entry.
Participating in opening weekend programs as well as those offered by Academic and Transfer Advising Services.
Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.
Special Notes: This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
