Stonehill College is seeking an Assistant/Associate Dean (dependent on experience/qualifications) to serve as a member of the Undergraduate Admission team and contribute to the strategic enrollment efforts of the College. This position carries a specific focus on the effort to increase the enrollment of underrepresented students.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Develop, cultivate, and manage relationships with partner organizations and high schools that are specifically aligned with the College’s diversity, equity, and inclusion goals. Current partners include but are not limited to Bottom Line, Summer Search, the Cristo Rey Network, and the Brockton Public School System.
Plan, manage, and conduct recruitment and counseling activities in a specific geographic territory while developing school counselor relationships, including approximately 6-8 weeks of recruitment travel for high school visits and college fairs. Provide recommendations to the admission counseling staff to guide diversity recruitment across all markets.
Research and guide the implementation of appropriate best practices in diversity and access recruitment within the undergraduate admission office. Identify and implement professional development opportunities for the admission staff and campus partners.
Identify and direct on-campus recruitment events targeted specifically for students of color and first-generation students. Programs may include but are not limited to events for high school and community-based partners, sponsoring college immersion days, and developing application/ financial aid workshops.
Participate in traditional undergraduate recruitment practices including conducting group information sessions and personal interviews with prospective students. Develop and maintain communication with prospective students, parents, and school counselors throughout the recruitment cycle. Review approximately 800 – 1,000 early action, early decision, and regular decision applications for admission and merit-based scholarships.
Evaluate, expand, and lead a student organization tasked with supporting the recruitment and enrollment of underrepresented students. Identify new opportunities for greater personalization and immersion of prospective students’ visit experiences and off-campus events.
Serve as the Office of Undergraduate Admission liaison to other campus offices including Student Success, Intercultural Affairs, the Office of the Provost, College Advancement, and Student Engagement.

Education & Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree and a valid driver’s license are required. A minimum of three to five years of direct experience in undergraduate admission is required. A Master’s Degree and previous experience in a diversity/access role are preferred. Preference is given to candidates with experience at liberal arts and/or Catholic institutions.
