The Associate Director of Student Activities & New Student Orientation is responsible for the administration implementation, and assessment of student development programs designed to foster student engagement in a welcoming and inclusive campus community of approximately 2,000 undergraduate students and 225 student organizations. The Associate Director is also responsible for leading Carleton's first-year orientation program, New Student Week (NSW). Additionally, the Associate Director assists with managing the Sayles-Hill Campus Center and several other student-led campus Facilities. The Associate Director is supported by a Director, two Assistant Directors, and approximately 125 student staff members. This is a 12-month, full-time position with occasional evening and weekend commitments.
The Associate Director of Student Activities & New Student Orientation will develop, implement, and assess a variety of student events, programs and services throughout the academic year and during breaks. Coordinate the recruitment, advertisement, and supervision of approximately 120 paid student employees and 125 student volunteers.

The successful candidate possesses a Master's Degree in College Student Personnel, Student Affairs in Higher Education, Higher Education Administration, or related field and a minimum of three years of relevant experience.
