Columbia Basin College ("CBC" or the "College") seeks a Credentials Evaluator 3 to be responsible for processing and evaluating a wide variety of credentials to determine course equivalency of transfer credits. This position will have responsibility for approving or denying selective admission and /or graduation and will be responsible for maintaining the college Academic Advisement Report system. This position also provides general office support within the Student Records department. This position reports to the Director for Enrollment Services.

Primary Responsibilities
Review and evaluate a wide variety of educational credentials including academic credit for prior learning, dual credit, military tests/training and international transcripts for students enrolling at Columbia Basin College; inform students of educational credential evaluation results;
Determine accreditation of previously attended institution(s), interpret grades awarded on a wide variety of grading scales, and maintain transfer in course translation tables and transcript databases;
Interpret and apply policies and recommend proposed changes in credential requirements;
Update and maintain Academic Advisement Report system and determine graduation eligibility for CBC degrees and certificates;
Collect, organize and track selective admission applications, and route to appropriate departments;
Provide professional, courteous, empathetic and problem-solving assistance to students, staff, and the public regarding Student Records related inquiries by responding to emails, answering phone calls and meeting with students listed on the Student Records drop-in queue;
Assist with the coordination of the transfer-in onboarding process;
Attend meetings, trainings and conferences as a program representative; and
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent education from an institutionally accredited college or university; and
Intermediate to advance computer experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office and learning management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college or university;
Two (2) or more years of experience working in higher education;
Experience in a student information system (SIS) and databases;
Experience interpreting and following policies, procedures and federal and state regulations; and
Columbia Basin College (CBC) serves the citizens of Benton and Franklin counties in Washington state with two-year associate degrees for transfer to a four-year university, and applied degrees for workforce employment. CBC also provides one-year certificates and basic skills for those pursuing a GED or high school diploma.
