Job Description: What We Are Looking For
The Office of the University Chaplain is seeing a full-time Administrative Coordinator. This position is responsible for managing administrative functions for the department including calendars, travel, scheduling meetings, ordering and maintaining supplies, providing direction to student workers, in addition to other duties as assigned. A high school diploma, three years relevant work experience, and an active Christian faith are required. A Bachelor's degree and five years relevant experience are preferred. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
What You Will Do
Assist the University Chaplain (and other staff as needed) by: managing calendars, scheduling meetings and gatherings, planning for travel, reimbursements of expenses, purchasing needed supplies, facilitating processes with student workers, and extending hospitality to those seeking help at the Bobo Spiritual Life Center.
Work closely with the University Chaplain and others across campus to enable and extend care within the Baylor community by: sending alerts and notifications, keeping track of pastoral needs and responses, communicate as needed with those receiving care, coordinating processes related to deaths and other crises in the community, supporting Resident and Embedded Chaplains, and connecting students and others to Baylor resources. In addition to the administration of these processes that nurture Baylor's caring environment, a compassionate presence will be a very important component of the associate's work.
Assist with and/or coordinate various events, services, and projects sponsored by the Office of the University Chaplain. This coordination will include things such as: preparing gatherings for church leaders and campus ministers, managing logistics for prayer and worship services, and facilitating assessment processes.
Work closely with the University Chaplain to assure professional communication with various constituencies and creative communication with the student body.
