POSITION DETAILS
The Deputy Registrar will report to the Registrar. In addition to the CUNY Title Overview, the Deputy Registrar will be responsible for the following duties:
?? Oversees all End of Term processes which includes, but not limited to, batch term activation each term, setting up and managing enrollment appointments, registration activities, collection of grades and processing functions of Deans List, Honors, and Awards, Pass/No Credit, National Student Clearinghouse reporting, data requests from the departments, query run, student groups, and Post Enrollment Requisite Checking.
?? Oversees the graduation audit process for both Undergraduate, Graduate and Doctoral candidates. This includes managing the staff responsible for the review and processing of graduation audits. Reviews and recommends enhancements to the graduation application process including working with appropriate campus offices to ensure that resources are readily available for audit staff.
?? Oversees the management of ePermits which includes enhancing the processing of ePermits; posting of ePermit courses and grades; and rectifying issues related to the CUNY ePermit system.
?? Administers Registrar activities related to Return to Title IV.
?? Manages, supervises, trains, coaches, and evaluates the staff of the Office of the Registrar.
?? Provides leadership and vision in achieving the objectives of the Office of the Registrar.
?? Analyzes data, delegates assignments to ensure maximum utilization of capacities of staff, support in the development and implementation of new technologies and enhancement of existing applications.
?? Collaborates with campus-wide offices, units, and departments on a wide range of issues including student enrollment, registration, billing, financial aid, and student progress towards degree requirements and completion.
?? Coordinates efforts between the Registrar, Student Affairs, Enrollment Management, Communications, Admissions, Advising, Bursar, Fin Aid, and ICIT to ensure campus is making every effort to enhance student customer service experience, and ensures current technology meets the needs of the communicating with staff, faculty and students.
?? Produces production calendar each semester to ensure timely services delivery to students, staff and faculty.
?? Schedules and administers townhall/zoom educational training sessions for the staff and faculty with developments in CUNYfirst, navigation and how to utilize CUNYfirst effectively.
?? Directly assists the Registrar in the development, documentation, and implementation of practices that contribute to achieving the goals of the Office of the Registrar.
?? Participates in collection, entry, and retrieval of student records as directed by the Registrar.
?? Represents the Registrar at key meetings with Deans, Department Chairs and acts on his/her behalf as directed.
?? Under the direction of the Registration Review Committee, rectifies student appeals related to adjustments to student enrollment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor???s degree and six years??? related experience required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
??? At least six years of higher education administration experience, preferably in a Registrar???s Office operations.
??? Knowledge and experience of PeopleSoft Query and SQL strongly preferred.
??? Knowledge of PeopleSoft Student Record pillars strongly preferred.
??? Knowledge and experience in EXCEL database management, Power Query and experience using Access Tables strongly preferred.
??? Project management experience and proven ability in the planning and implementation of technical designs and solutions to solve business problems.
??? Experience in analytics and using SPSS, SAS, or another statistical software package will be extremely useful, but not required.
??? Supervisory/management experience.

Manages College registration operations and related activities.
Oversees daily office operations; supervises the maintenance of accurate and secure student records; determines residency eligibility; enforces all retention and release policies regarding the confidentiality of student data
Improves and maintains department performance regarding information processing through effective system management and staff development
Reports on all matters pertaining to academic standards, academic petitions, student progress, and maintenance of enrollment eligibility
Assists with developing strategic plan, evaluating outcomes and ensuring compliance with legal requirements
Prepares analytical and statistical reports for management
Provides auditors with appropriate documentation as requested
May administer Registrar activities related to Return of Title lV funding
May manage professional and/or clerical staff
Performs related duties as assigned.

Salary commensurate with education and experience $79,188-$100,329.
