Position Information: The Office of Student Affairs at the University of California, Riverside School of Medicine is responsible for overseeing and enhancing the quality of student life experience throughout the four years of medical school.
Student Affairs provides a variety of services, including student enrollment, financial aid, academic records, physical and mental wellness, admissions counseling, career counseling, externships, residency preparation and professional development.
The incumbent will apply skills as a recruitment and/or admissions professional, provide substantive information on student programs for the organization or in college/school/department. Performs recruitment activities. Evaluates and makes determinations regarding applications for admission using established guidelines.
Please note: This position may offer a hybrid work schedule with three days onsite and two days remote. However, there may be occasions when additional campus presence is required, depending on the workload.
The full salary range for the Admissions Recruitment Specialist 2 is $56,000 to $96,400 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $76,200 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required

Minimum Requirements
Knowledge and experience working with a diverse student population.
Working knowledge of UC, and the ability to interpret policies and procedures to prospective applicants and the public.
Working knowledge of academic programs, including curricula, admissions requirements, and financial aid programs at UC.
Ability to maintain cooperative relationships with schools, universities, community organizations and other institutions.
Working knowledge of admissions requirements for campus/school/college.
Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
Ability to analyze, interpret and evaluate statistical data and policy.
Demonstrated experience adapting to changing priorities, high volumes of work, and multiple deadlines; ability to independently assess and strategize how to resolve problems with available resources.
Knowledge of FERPA and HIPAA federal regulations. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Knowledge of and experience using software systems in the completion of work assignments (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Ability to navigate ambiguity through independent problem-solving.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of AMCAS, AMP, Banner and/or other student information software systems.
Ability to develop recruitment programs, and design effective materials.
Thorough and comprehensive knowledge of academic programs, including curricula, admissions requirements, and financial aid programs, at colleges/universities and specifically at UC, and/or public institutions of higher education.
Basic knowledge of medical school/program admissions policies, procedures and practices.
