SCHOOL OF SCIENCE, TECHNOLOGY, ENGINEERING AND MATHEMATICS
The School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) was approved by the University of Washington Board of Regents in 2013 in response to the need for a greater number of STEM graduates to meet the demands of industry in Washington state. UW Bothell combines all STEM fields in one academic unit, allowing for cross-disciplinary training and project work. The school's 79 full-time and 100 part-time faculty serve 1,225 undergraduate students and 294 graduate students in the following four divisions:
Biological Sciences: provides students with a foundation that will enable them to pursue careers or graduate study in medicine, dentistry, health professions, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, ecology, biology, and biology education.
