Athletic Ticketing & Marketing Internship (2 openings)

Cornell University's Department of Athletics & Physical Education is currently seeking applications for two 10-month internships in the Athletic Ticketing, Marketing & Camps Office. The term of this position is August 1, 2022 - May 31, 2023*. The primary responsibilities for the Athletic Ticketing & Marketing Intern include ticket sales and customer service for all of Cornell's ticketed varsity athletic event, group sales, season ticket sales/renewals, assisting with sponsor fulfillment, game-day promotions and event management support at athletic events. The intern will be exposed to different facets of the business, including ticketing, marketing, operations and finance.
Candidates must be professional, reliable and possess excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills. An ideal candidate should have an interest in a career in athletic ticketing, sports marketing or other related field and have knowledge/interest in college athletics.
Please note: This is an unpaid internship, with a monthly living allowance of $1,750. No relocation expenses or visa sponsorship are available for this internship.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree
- Customer-service experience - both in-person and via phone/email
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) required; proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and CRM/database preferred
- Frequent evening and weekend availability required
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Working knowledge of NCAA and/or Ivy League rules preferred
*Term is flexible to July 1, 2022 - April 30, 2023
