The Admissions Associate is responsible for providing administrative support for the JD Admissions Office, and engaging prospective law students and applicants in order to highlight the programs and opportunities available at Chicago-Kent with a particular focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion outreach and recruitment. Responsibilities include managing the fall and spring recruitment schedules; conducting outreach to HBCUs and prelaw groups; responding to all correspondence sent to the admissions email account; conducting follow-up with applicants to ensure the timely completion of applicant files; and counseling prospective students and applicants by phone and in person regarding the admissions process. The position also coordinates all administrative aspects of the Prelaw Undergraduate Scholars (PLUS) pipeline program, a rigorous three- week summer program that is designed to prepare students from groups that are underrepresented in the legal profession for law school and legal careers. The position reports to both the Assistant Dean for Admissions and the Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
