As Assistant Director for Assignments, you'll be accountable for managing application- and assignments-related processes for the approximately 7,000 undergraduate on-campus residents of thirty-three unique residential communities, as well as creating and managing application and assignments related communication. In this role, attention to detail, close collaboration with hall staff, a high level of confidentiality, and excellent communication will be critical.

What you'll be doing:
Managing on-campus application, assignment, early arrival/late departure, and billing processes for nearly 7,000 undergraduate residents in close collaboration with Rectors and the rest of the Hall Staff teams.
Supervising one full-time staff member, the Program Coordinator for Assignments, who assists in the day-to-day management of housing occupancy and assignments.
Serve as a power user for the StarRez housing management system at Notre Dame, managing student data within the system and setup/maintenance of PortalX processes.
Collaborating with campus stakeholders such as Sara Bea Accessibility Services, Athletics, Notre Dame Global, and Admissions to provide a welcoming and reliable service to students.
Creating and managing departmental business communications, including assignment notifications, cancellation/termination communication, and the assignments content on the Residential Life website. This position will be regularly emailing some or all undergraduate students at Notre Dame.
Managing and reporting on residential data in service to Residential Life and University goals and projects, which include residential master planning, facility renovation, and new construction.
Participating in a housing operations on-call rotation approximately every five weeks limited to emergency housing support and student rooms searches.

Minimum Qualifications:
Masters degree, ideally in higher education, student affairs, or related field
3-4 years experience in residential life, student support, or related experience
Proficiency with StarRez residential management system
Experience creating and managing website and mass email communications
Strong customer service and communication skills
Ability to work across departments and throughout the University, developing and maintaining relationships
Competent with technology (MS Office and Google Suite) and ability to learn new systems
Commitment to supporting the mission of a Catholic university founded by the Congregation of Holy Cross
Preferred Qualifications:
Power user for the StarRez residential management system with experience building and managing PortalX processes, bulk data updates, and overall data stewardship
