JOB DESCRIPTION:
Primary focus areas for the Associate Director for Student Leadership are to oversee the active engagement of leadership development for all Ohio University’s students. Create, implement, and facilitate leadership development services, resources, and programming for all undergraduate and graduate OHIO students. Develop and link student success outcomes to leadership development services.
1. Oversee the active engagement of leadership development for Ohio University students
Coordinate the expansion, development and implementation of leadership engagement programming, services, trainings, and resources for all OHIO students.
Incorporate well-being best practices in leadership programming.
Provide leadership development services and resources to the 550+ student organizations.
Facilitate student organization effectiveness and build leadership skills for student organizations.
Support student organizations through individual and group leadership coaching.
Assess leadership development services, programs and resources.
Collaborate with other institution stakeholders to provide a comprehensive and integrated leadership development plan for Ohio University.
Train Ohio University students to articulate their leadership skills to stakeholders.
Research current trends and best practices related to student leadership development; and
2. Provide Leadership Coaching to students on leadership development
Engage students in leadership development.
Utilize technology and resources to guide students through the leadership development process.
Provide individual and group coaching to students regarding leadership development.
Collaborate with academic units and departments, campus offices, faculty, and staff to develop leadership co-curricular or in-class activities and programs.
3. Supervise two graduate assistants, undergraduate student employees, and a student ambassador team.
Master’s Degree
Must have management experience.
