The Global Experiences Office (formerly Education Abroad Office), a Global Affairs unit within Academic Affairs, is expanding its focus to include a variety of global experiential learning opportunities at home and abroad. The Coordinator provides comprehensive support by helping students select and prepare for global learning experiences. Responsibilities include serving as a resource to students, parents, and the University community on programs, policies, and procedures; promoting opportunities and guiding students through program and scholarship applications; and coordinating with partners to develop and implement programs.
This position is part of a team and reports to the Director of Global Experiences Office, but also works with one or more academic colleges as a liaison or embedded staff member.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and one year of professional work experience in international education, student affairs, multi-cultural affairs, academic advising, or related field. Master's degree can substitute for the one year of professional work experience.
Effective listening and mentoring skills.
Strong organization and planning skills are essential.
Experience studying, living, working, or volunteering abroad, extensive international travel for other purposes may be considered.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft products (Excel, Word, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's Degree preferred.
Experience working with Education Abroad Programs, international exchanges, and global engagement opportunities.
Experience with marketing, event planning, and/or public speaking.
Familiarity in Terra Dotta software or proven ability to learn another complex software program and develop creative technological solutions.
Knowledge of Ed Abroad Programs, international exchanges, and global engagement opportunities.
Skillset and ability to market, event plan and/or speak to audiences publicly. Language proficiency other than English.
Experience with data management and reporting.
Working with confidential information.
