Up to 18 hours per week
Non-benefited, MCCC unit position
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:
Conduct individual and group tutoring sessions for Practical Nursing students.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Tutor students in Practical Nursing and other related subjects as assigned.
Collaborate with Practical Nursing faculty and Tutoring staff to ensure appropriate curricular and holistic student support.
Encourage students to develop a systematic approach to studying that will serve them throughout their college career.
Help maintain EAB Navigate records of student attendance and learning progress.
Attend required tutor meetings throughout the semester.
Assist students in making appointments and logging in/out of the Tutoring Center.
Perform other duties consistent with the position of Professional Tutor.
Job Requirements:
Graduate of Accredited Practical Nursing Certificate Program, Associate Degree Nursing Program, Bachelor's of Science in Nursing Degree, OR Master's of Science in Nursing Degree.
Currently Active Massachusetts Nursing License.
Ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Demonstrate qualities of patience and empathy; respect for students of all genders, gender identities, cultural/ethnic backgrounds, ages, and abilities.
Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations.
Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI and/or a National background check as a condition of employment.
Community College tutoring or teaching experience.
Bilingual in Spanish, Portuguese, or Haitian Creole.
Additional Information: SALARY: $33.95 per hour. Non-benefited, MCCC unit position
