The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $90,000. This range represents our good faith estimate for this position. We consider additional factors such as education, experience, skills as well the needs of the School at the time of the offer.

Overall Purpose:
As the Athletic Director, you will champion the missions of both Trinity-Pawling School and the Founders League. Your role is to help shape the lives of our students by creating a robust, competitive, and inclusive athletic program. You’ll serve as a visionary leader, a unifying force, and the face of athletics at Trinity-Pawling School. You will help make a transformative impact on our students’ lives through the power of athletics and sportsmanship.
Essential Responsibilities
Leadership:
Be the visionary leader of our athletic program, cultivating a culture of excellence, competition, sportsmanship, and inclusivity.
Serve as the primary advocate for the athletic department, embodying the School’s values and mission.
Advocate and reinforce the educational foundations of a successful athletic program.
Recruitment and Development:
Mentor coaches to develop strategies to actively and successfully recruit and enroll mission-driven student-athletes.
Create accountability measures that will ensure the success of recruitment strategies.
Partner with the Office of Admissions in the enrollment and retention of mission-appropriate students.
Ensure cohesion of vision across the athletic department, including between varsity and lower athletic teams.
Mentorship:
Provide guidance, support, and mentorship to our coaching staff, helping them develop their coaching skills and creating a positive and collaborative coaching environment.
Oversee the professional development of all coaches.
Provide regular and constructive feedback to coaches to ensure they maintain the highest coaching standards and that student-athletes receive the best possible guidance and support.
Facilitate and evaluate learning and growth in communication and recruitment skills and strategies for coaches.
Innovation of the Trinity-Pawling Athletic Program:
Continuously assess and enhance our athletic program to align with the evolving needs and interests of our students and the School’s mission.
Pursue excellence in the athletic program through coach and player development.
Develop athletic programs for all students, including those who may not see themselves as athletes, promoting teamwork, perseverance, and the joy of sports participation.
Provide recommendations to expand the School’s athletic livestreaming output to encompass all varsity sports programs.
Build Connections:
Forge and maintain strong relationships with coaches, students, faculty and staff, parents, and alumni to foster a supportive and enthusiastic athletic community.
Engage with parents, alumni, and the broader community to emphasize the importance of athletics in students’ development and the School’s mission.
Showcase Success Stories:
Celebrate the achievements of our student-athletes by promoting and sharing their success stories within the school community and beyond.
Highlight the personal growth and accomplishments of all students involved in athletics, emphasizing the holistic benefits of sports participation.
Collaborate with the Office of Communications to ensure that sports information (schedules, scores, etc.) will be shared in a timely manner for use on social media, the School’s website, and other school publications.
Collaborate with the Office of Communications to ensure that all sports information is communicated effectively and efficiently.
Administrative and Logistical Responsibilities:
Oversee budget management, faculty recruitment, scheduling, and compliance with regulations to ensure the smooth operation of the athletic department.
Oversee the scheduling of games and arrange for fields, rinks, courts, and other facilities necessary for practices and competitions.
Coordinate with officials and ensure their presence at games to maintain standards and regulations.
Contact other schools to organize and confirm interscholastic games and events.
Ensure all athletic programs comply with school policies, league regulations, and various laws.
Manage livestreaming logistics, including vendor coordination, tech support with the IT Office.
Collaborate with the Office of Communications to ensure the School’s brand guidelines are followed throughout the athletic department and provide information for athletic publications that are produced for the Office of Admissions.
Community Engagement:
Engage with parents, alumni, and the broader community to emphasize the importance of athletics in students’ development and the School’s mission.
Promote and organize events, activities, and initiatives that enhance the visibility and reputation of the athletic program within and outside the school community.
You will excel in this role if you are a passionate, experienced, and student-centered athletic administrator who currently serves in a leadership capacity. You have a proven track record as a successful interscholastic coach, possess comprehensive knowledge of the sports offered,
understand physical education standards and pedagogy, and have a keen awareness of the academic, athletic, and social-emotional needs of adolescents and teens.

Collaborate, build relationships, and influence both internal and external coaches who align with Trinity-Pawling School’s mission and core values.
Serve as a visionary leader and the face of athletics at Trinity-Pawling School.
Possess administrative skills in hiring and supervision, budget oversight, and strategic planning.

Outstanding Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to engage with coaches, students, faculty and staff, parents, and alumni effectively.
