Summary of Duties:
Part of the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in the Office of Student Services, this position provides program support for the Student Services Office, including recruitment, admissions, special events, and administrative support for the Associate Dean.
Under general supervision, the Program Assistant assists with the recruitment and admissions processing for potential and incoming doctor of pharmacy students including but not limited to communication with prospective students, application processing, coordination of candidate interviews, assistance with and coordination of recruiting and admissions events, communication with current students, and other critical support functions to the Office of student services and the Associate Dean for Professional Education.
This position requires a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. High comfort with technology will be expected as the use of the university and college enterprise systems and other computer platforms will be necessary.
Essential Duties:
60% Program Support for Recruitment and Admissions
25% Student Services and Associate Dean Administrative Support
10% Event Support
5% Miscellaneous
Required Qualifications:
High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of full-time clerical experience OR equivalent education/experience.
Additional Requirements:
Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook.
Demonstrated skills in the areas of customer service, organization, and attention to detail.
Ability to maintain positive working relationships with diverse groups.
Preferred Qualifications:
One or more years of full-time experience with common application services (CAS) such as PharmCAS or NursingCAS.
Experience with application processing and evaluation.
One year of experience working within a health sciences program or health-related organization
Experience developing, maintaining, and/or using computerized record systems and information management.
Must have, or be able to obtain by time of hire, a valid driver's license and meet requirements in accordance with SPPM 7.10 and departmental driving standards.

Monthly Salary: $3,239.00 to $4,299.00 | Range 37 | Steps A-M | Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28. Step M is typically a longevity step.
