Job Description
The Admissions Recruiter supports the college with the implementation of the strategic enrollment management process. The position provides direct recruiting and enrollment services to prospective students and key stakeholders (parents, guidance counselors, teachers, family members, etc.) involved in a studentâ™s college decision. The Admissions Recruiter co-ordinates, facilitates, and participates in various recruiting actions/activities including (but not limited to) prospective student interviews & tours, information sessions, and on/off campus recruitment events including job fairs, high school events, and community events. This position in also responsible for supporting prospective students through the admissions process including post-test advising and general support with applicant specific activities linked to a prospective studentâ™s readiness to register for courses.Â
Specific Job Duties Include:
Coordinate and facilitate one on one meetings, tours and conduct on campus recruitment activities to include open houses, monthly information meetings, weekly tours and other on campus recruitment events to ensure that prospective students receive the information necessary to make HTC their college of choice
Interface and appropriately utilize digital systems and technologies to generate and maintain timely, positive, and proactive communication with prospective students and their key stakeholders.
Cultivate and build relationships and partnerships with schools, businesses, and community based key stakeholders/agencies in order to increase awareness and active participation with the education provided by HTC, resulting in increased access for prospective students, applicants, and future students.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of Student Services experience in higher education and/or equivalent experience in progressive customer service roles
Demonstrated knowledge of skills needed for success in college through professional and/or personal experience
Knowledge of successful strategies leading to best in class student/customer service
Demonstrated familiarity with the culture and history of under-represented groups impacting individuals including first-generation college students
Experience working with students or customers, specifically those of color, international students and other students originating from outside the US
Ability to plan and coordinate on-campus recruitment events
Ability to collaborate and establish a positive rapport with students/customers, staff and the community-at-large
Preferred QualificationÂ
Associateâ™s degree or higher
Working knowledge of ISRS and/or Salesforce, Outlook, and Microsoft Office.
Previous experience with providing customer service in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of FERPA guidelines and AACRAO standards.
Three or more years of student services experience in higher education or customer service management
Experience in pre-enrollment advising, recruitment and retention at a two-year technical college
Experience within a multi-campus institution
Familiarity with the Minnesota State System
Knowledge of HTC programs, policies, and procedures
Other Requirements
Nights and weekends as needed
