Financial Education, Loan and Support Service (FELSS) is a multi-faceted Student Affairs department that advances inclusive student financial education related services and support programs, and extends student basic need services for undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. FELSS consists of five collaborative units: Debt Management Services (DMS), Economic Crisis Response Team (ECRT), Financial Wellness (FW), Loan Services (LS), and Basic Needs at Strathmore (BN@Strath). FELSS has strategic partnerships across the campus to provide students with financial wellness and literacy services, loan services and counseling, economic crisis support, personal care support, and student debt counseling with financial recovery and repayment approaches to empower every Bruin towards financial, well-being, and institutional success. Position Summary
The Economic Crisis Response Team (ECRT) is a multidisciplinary group of campus partners dedicated to supporting UCLA students experiencing a financial crisis that impacts their wellbeing and academic success at UCLA. Reporting to the ECRT Chair, the Case Coordinator manages a caseload and collaborates with ECRT members and campus partners to offer crisis interventions, case management, emergency meals, housing, loans, grants, and educational resources. Using a social justice perspective, the Coordinator also works with ECRT leadership to assess, evaluate, and advocate for policy changes that improve services and enhance students' experience, wellbeing, and success.

Knowledge of Federal Methodology pertaining to financial aid, and federal, state and university policies in order to answer student inquiries about financial aid programs. Student inquiries about financial aid programs (Required)
Ability to counsel undergraduate and graduate students on a one-to-one basis. (Required)
Ability to analyze information, problems or situations to define the problem, formulate accurate and objective resolutions based on knowledge of financial aid policies. (Required)
Experience with UCLA's Financial Aid Management (FAM) system, Student Records System (SRS), Report Distribution System (RDS) and the Billing and Receivable (BAR) system used for accessing student data, and familiarity with other FAS systems used for processing and revising financial aid awards (Preferred)
Experience with program development and event planning. (Preferred)
Experience with social media, content development and outreach communications. (Preferred)

Detailed working knowledge of federal regulations impacting student records, including FERPA and HIPAA. (Required)
Ability to effectively use a personal computer and mobile devices, as appropriate, for all applications including knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, in order to perform all administrative responsibilities associated with the position. (Required)
Advanced degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field, and experience working in a college or university financial aid office. (Preferred)

Bachelor's Degree 4-year degree from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience/training. (Required)
