Summary of Position: | Independently perform/coordinate responsible support functions which may focus on a specialized area(s) of student services, such as Admissions, Financial Aid, Registration, etc. Communicate and perform duties in a manner that provide excellent service and is responsive to customer needs. Serve as a ‘lead worker’ to assist and answer questions for lower level employees. Provide responsible, independent complex bookkeeping, record keeping, and/or accounting support. | |

Required Education: | Satisfactory completion of two years college or equivalent.

Required Work Experience: | Four years of office experience. Experience in customer service which may have included familiarity with state or federal regulations and banking or financial transactions.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: | Knowledge of computerized student record/large database management system. Student services related work experience. Any higher education work experience in financial aid or admissions. Any supervisory experience. Experience in network or software jobs and working with computer technical personnel to resolve programming difficulties. | |
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: | Authorize approvals, exceptions, payments, etc. within assigned scope of responsibilities.
Coordinate workflow and operations as assigned.
Independently analyze special requests and considerations and make determination and give authorization.
Investigate, develop, recommend, implement, and/or revise University procedures relating to specific area(s).
May be assigned to act as departmental liaison with other University departments and external contacts.
Perform any/all duties defined in the Student Service Representative 1, 2, & 3 position descriptions.
Routinely handle confidential information. Assist coworkers, customers, etc. with sensitive issues or decisions.
Serve as department liaison to work with other University employees and/or outside agencies relating to assigned area of specialty.
Serve as the ‘lead worker’ for other staff who have questions.
Be cross-trained in other specialized areas within the office.
Carry out responsibilities in accordance with university policies, and applicable laws and regulations.
Maintain confidentiality of designated information.
Report to immediate supervisor.
Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members.
Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives.
Utilize the current financial software as well as the Concur expense system.
Monitor and maintain all general fund and auxiliary accounts. Tasks and processes include: Purchasing card reconciliation and management, initiating requisitions and purchase orders, processing all vendor billing, and resolving issues/problems as needed.
Participate in and prepare reports for a monthly financial meeting with the Dean’s Office to discuss balances, transfers needed and deficits.
Prepare bi-weekly payroll submissions and resolve issues/problems as needed with timesheet management and monitor pay distribution.
Assist with Commencement activities.
Assist with New Student Orientation.
Perform any other duties assigned within the position classification area. | |

Utilize the rules of proper grammar, correct spelling and punctuation, and proper arrangement of information.
