JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, the Manager of Admissions manages the daily operations of admissions, collection of data regarding applicants, and software systems used in the admissions process in the Office of Student Affairs in the UTHSC College of Nursing (CON).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the admissions process and collaborates with the Assistant Dean and Nursing Admissions Counselor throughout the process.
Engages with the Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Student Affairs team, College of Nursing, University Student Affairs/Enrollment Services, Financial Aid, and the Registrar in the development of processes utilizing data and performance improvement principles for process improvement.
Maintains an active and current application database.
Analyze applications to determine competitiveness which includes GPA calculation, transcript review and final review.
Develops and distributes individualized letters to applicants following the conclusion of each admission/decision meeting providing the results of the admission/decision process and guidance related to missing admission elements, next steps, and deadlines.
Oversees and administers customer service surveys.
Establishes and updates customer relation management processes including daily monthly or annual processes.
Provides input into the budget for Student Affairs.
Maintains current, accurate, and secure student-oriented files.
Participates in committees and meetings as assigned.
Participates in student engagement, orientation, various campus activities, professional activities, and academic ceremonies.
