Summary of Duties:
In the role of Administrative Manager, you will oversee the administrative, personnel, business, and fiscal functions of the Office for Access & Opportunity (A&O) in Student Affairs. This includes providing comprehensive administrative support, managing budgets, conducting fiscal analysis, overseeing grant and contract budgets, managing inventory, and implementing operational policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for supervising staff, making independent decisions about daily operations, and managing various projects and initiatives for the department. In addition, you will play a key role in the short and long-term planning and assessment efforts within the Office for Access & Opportunity and act as the main point of contact for the Executive Director with internal and external constituencies.
This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule after completion of onboarding and training.
Required Qualifications:
Positions require a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and four (4) years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified which has included at least one (1) year of supervisory experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience performing complex clerical duties, such as database management, financial record keeping, monitoring budget, maintaining records and/or coordinating office operations.
Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and be detail oriented.
Experience using computer accounting information systems and/or applications software.
Experience with budgets and grant management.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with state and government regulations pertaining to fiscal management; experience working with grants and/or contracts.
Related experience at WSU or other higher education institutions.
Experience with WSU, or other university, budget, accounting, and personnel systems (i.e. Workday).
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
$4,508.70 - $6,763.06 | Commensurate on qualifications, experience, and licensures.
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110, the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidate's current experience, education, skills, and abilities related to the position. Successful candidates typically begin up to mid-point of the salary range.
