The Coordinator, Career Services is responsible for coordinating all activities related to the College's career services program. This includes performing outreach, serving as the primary liaison to the local business community, and acting as a resource for deans and faculty regarding labor market trends, and establishing internship and co-op opportunities.
Key responsibilities include:
Overseeing targeted career advertising and planning for students exploring career options.
Maintaining content for the Career Services webpage, OwlNet, and the My Academic tab.
Providing career advising to current students as needed.
Teaching assigned courses in student development, job search strategies, and career exploration.
Assisting with various aspects of student advising as required.
This role requires managing all aspects of career services and cooperative education, which includes designing learning outcomes assessments, tracking results, and providing reports as needed. The Coordinator also maintains and updates career services materials through College Central Network comprehensive software, meets with students and employers to monitor progress, and supervises Career Specialists. Additionally, the position involves staying current with workplace trends, participating in campus-wide committees, and contributing to strategic planning aimed at expanding Career Services. Further duties include attending local business meetings to gather information, build employer relationships, and increase opportunities for student employment and experiential learning.

Required Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of work experience in career services or related field required
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Overseeing targeted career advertising and planning for students exploring career options
Providing career advice to current students through assessing Interests and skills while presenting career exploration opportunities as needed
Teaching assigned courses in student development, job search strategies, and career exploration while evaluating learning outcomes.
Creating and designing relevant courses in student development, job search strategies, and career exploration.
Supervisory experience
Project management and event coordination skills to organize career services programs that benefit students and alumni.
Ability to identify and cultivate partnerships with local businesses, industries, and community organizations that align with the college's programs.
Tailor counseling approaches to meet the needs of diverse student populations, including non-traditional students and those with varying career interests, using data-driven insights.
Proficiency in MS Office
Superb communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
