The Academic Coordinator in the Undergraduate Programs Office in the D'Amore-McKim School of Business serves as administrative and operational support for students and the academic advising team. The Academic Coordinator will inform students about routine college curricula, policies and procedures, while directing more complex situations to the assigned Academic Advisor. They serve to enhance communication between students, the college and advisors, and ensure that timely and accurate referrals are made when appropriate. To make accurate referrals, the Academic Coordinator must be knowledgeable in College and University policies, course selection, pre-registration, registration, co-op scheduling and degree completion. The Academic Coordinator provides registration guidance and academic support to students pursuing business minors and combined majors housed outside of D'Amore-McKim School of Business. This position will also oversee the change of major process for non- DMSB students which will include but not be limited to providing academic support to interested students, degree audit review and act as the liaison to the Explore and General Studies programs.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Through completion of administrative tasks, the Academic Coordinator facilitates student-centered support, and guidance to undergraduate students. They are also tasked with updating and assuring the accuracy of student records based on academic advising data.
They will assist the academic advising team with the implementation of student developmental programs. The Academic Coordinator will support Directors and Advisor with projects as needed.
The Academic Coordinator will utilize a variety of University systems. Due to the complex and sensitive issues that can arise, a high emphasis is placed on confidentiality and privacy. The Academic Coordinator needs to be familiar with and adhere to applicable guidelines laid out by ADA, FERPA, SEVIS and other state, federal University and College regulations. The Undergraduate Programs Office, D'Amore-McKim School of Business and Northeastern are fast-paced environments. The student Academic Coordinator is expected to successfully manage administrative responsibilities during high traffic times. Work hours include some evenings and weekends.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required. Previous college/university experience within an academic setting is a plus. Should enjoy working with students. Knowledge of student development theory is a plus. The successful candidate will:
