Eastern Michigan University?s GameAbove College of Engineering and Technology has several positions open in engineering technology and construction management. These positions are open to deliver programs in the People Republic of China. The starting date is Fall 2024. Each position will be a 12-month appointment. This will include delivering classes during the regular academic year (Fall and Winter) and a guaranteed summer appointment. The position requires to be physically in China most of the year.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Selected candidates will be teaching mainly undergraduate courses. Weekly scheduling office hours and advising students are expected. Each position requires delivering service components, such as supporting assessment and accreditation. Hired candidates should also participate in activities such as student recruitment, registration, orientation, convocations, and commencements. They should attend and participate in scheduled departmental meetings and functions. In addition to teaching and service, the position has research requirements. Hired candidates will conduct research and collaborate with other faculty with our partner (Beibu Gulf University) and EMU. Providing assessment reports is one of the responsibilities of the position. Hired candidates will be expected to support the accreditation process and other activities related to the programs.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer, Product Design engineering or engineering technology; or construction management. Candidates in closely related fields will be considered. Candidates with an MS degree and significant industrial experience will also be considered for these positions.
Preferred Qualifications:
Teaching experience with college level courses and/or industrial experiences are strongly desired qualifications.
