This part-time position is located on the WCJC Wharton Campus.
The Part-Time TRiO SSS Peer Tutor will work closely with low-income, first-generation, and/or disabled students attending courses at WCJC by providing academic support and assistance. Requirements
This position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent. This position requires completion of a college English or Algebra course with a letter grade no lower than a B. This position requires the ability to relate to students and present content in a variety of ways to accommodate the diverse learning styles of students. Strong technical skills that include experience with an online Learning Management System such as D2L Brightspace and computer proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required, along with excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated sensitivity to the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, ethnic, and disability backgrounds of student populations.
