Brief Summary of Work for this Position: The Assistant Director for Technology is a member of the Business Services team in Department of Housing and Residence Life.
This position is responsible for the following:
Coordinates and aligns technology software/ hardware operations with department functions
Oversees and implements the housing management software system and ensures the software system is operating effectively and is integrated with the University's enrollment strategies
Responsible for supporting the assignments staff throughout the year regarding various business processes and updating the housing management system database
Responsible for coordinating with campus partners on enterprise information technology updates or changes that may affect HRL business practices or operations
Supervises the Technology Support Specialist and oversees the organization, accountability audit, and lifecycle management of the department's computer hardware and software systems
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Graduation from a two year technical college with a major in computer science, information technology or related area and one year in the information technology field related to the position's role; or graduation from a four year college or university and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or graduation from a four year college or university with a major in computer science or information technology or related degree.
Related information technology experience may be substituted year for year for the required education.
