Brief Summary of Work for this Position: The Assistant Director for Technology is a member of the Business Services team in Department of Housing and Residence Life.

This position is responsible for the following:

• Coordinates and aligns technology software/ hardware operations with department functions
• Oversees and implements the housing management software system and ensures the software system is operating effectively and is integrated with the University's enrollment strategies
• Responsible for supporting the assignments staff throughout the year regarding various business processes and updating the housing management system database
• Responsible for coordinating with campus partners on enterprise information technology updates or changes that may affect HRL business practices or operations
• Supervises the Technology Support Specialist and oversees the organization, accountability audit, and lifecycle management of the department's computer hardware and software systems

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Graduation from a two year technical college with a major in computer science, information technology or related area and one year in the information technology field related to the position's role; or graduation from a four year college or university and one year experience in the information technology field related to the position's role; or graduation from a four year college or university with a major in computer science or information technology or related degree.

Related information technology experience may be substituted year for year for the required education.
