Position Information: The Associated Students Program Board (ASPB) is part of the Student Life Office. This position will support the Senior Coordinator and Coordinator for Associated Students Program Board with the operations and event management of ASPB to ensure that the programs and events are in accordance with established operating policies and procedures, and properly coordinated to ensure maximum service to the University community.
This is a contract position and hours are limited to 1000-hour max (up to 40 hours a week). End date may vary based on the 1000 hour limit.
The salary range for the Associated Students Program Board Assistant Advisor position is $21.89 - $36.35 per hour. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $21.89 per hour. We base placement within these ranges on the individual's qualifications as they relate to this position.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
As a university employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.
Requirements: Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training. Required
Experience Requirements
0 - 1 years of related experience. Required
Minimum of 2 years planning college events Preferred
Minimum of 1 year working with agencies and artist management teams Preferred
Minimum Requirements
Basic knowledge of advising and counseling techniques.
Interpersonal skills.
Skills in service orientation, active listening, critical thinking, and facilitation.
Knowledge and understanding of the needs of a diverse student population.
Verbal communication, written communication and organization skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Basic knowledge of common University-specific computer application programs.
