Position Information: The Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC) is a front-facing service office, serving primarily students with disabilities, but also works with other UCR students, faculty, staff, and community members. The SDRC Testing Center Administrative Assistant provides general administrative and SDRC Testing Center support. Incumbent will give excellent customer service, greeting clientele, providing a welcoming environment, answering questions, and making referrals as needed. The incumbent will be responsible for calendaring, mail processing, phone calls, front office duties, tasks associated with exam accommodation administration, and assisting with proctoring of exam accommodations for students with disabilities. Incumbent will also serve as a financial transactor for the department. This position will serve in an administrative back up support capacity for the SDRC Main Office/Front Desk. Incumbent will be expected to work evening and weekends during high demand periods for the department (e.g., final exams).

The full salary range for the SDRC Testing Center Administrative Assistant is $24.59 - $34.85. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $27.93 per hour. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.
Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.

Testing Center Responsibilities: Calendaring - Enter, edit, and delete scheduled exam appointments. Prepare daily agenda; provide daily updates.; Meeting Arrangements - Schedule and reserve testing/exam rooms, equipment, and staff. Order media resource equipment/services, as needed. Coordinate materials allowed during exams (e.g. text books, class notes, formulas, calculators, PC, Scantron, Blue Book, etc.) Confirm exam appointments and arrangements with students and faculty in-person, via phone or electronic communications.; Data Entry - Ensure information is entered in to department database(s) in a timely manner, following department and University policies/procedures.; Department/Project Liaison - Establish and maintain professional working relationships and work as a liaison with campus partners and clientele.

Purchasing/Transactions: Serve as financial transactor for the SDRC Testing Center. This includes but is not limited to: Proccess orders for supplies and materials; Process orders for campus parking permits for vendors and/or department guests; Meet with ASSET and SDRC financial staff to reconcile, review, and/or audit financial records; Work with department, divisional, and campus financial staff in purchase process information requests, assists with fiscal closing activities, and complies with audits regaring transactions and purchases. Assists in reconciliation processes; Ensure all Univesity financial policies and procedures are followed; Serve as a back up financial transactor for the SDRC department; Assist with other deparment financial transactions when other department admin staff are out or unavailable.
