ACE-PC Program Coordinator (UC Davis)- SOM: Student Affairs
Job Summary
CA-FT
In partnership with Kaiser Permanente Northern California, and with support from the American Medical Association's Accelerating Change in Medical Education initiative, the UC Davis School of Medicine (UCD SOM) offers an innovative three-year MD pathway for students committed to primary care careers. Instead of the traditional seven-year pathway to primary care practice (four years of medical school followed by three years of residency training), ACE-PC students complete their MD in 3 years equipped with the knowledge and skills to be positioned to match into a PC residency and enter primary care practice one year earlier than traditional students.
This position involves designing, conducting, promoting, evaluating, and supporting the pathway program in compliance with organizational objectives. In addition to curriculum support, the coordinator guides undergraduate learners with responsibilities in several key areas, including creating a community of belonging and inclusion through cohort courses, curriculum development, classroom instruction (encompassing virtual and in-person teaching and learning activities), scheduling clinical rotations, leading cohort activities, and assessing and evaluating student core competencies and other impact measures for the ACE-PC program.
