Position Purpose:
To help to maintain a safe, equitable learning environment, the Student Conduct, Title IX and Conflict Resolution Coordinator leads and administers the student conduct adjudication process. This position provides strategic planning, policy updates, and develops new outreach initiatives. This position applies best practices, principles of restorative justice and conflict resolution, coaching models, student development theory, and educational sanctions as the basis for resolving student conduct concerns. This position also serves as the Title IX Deputy Coordinator. These responsibilities include educational awareness, training, student support, and investigation. This position creates and leads college-wide proactive and preventative efforts to help provide a safe, equitable, positive learning environment.
Position Responsibilities:
Coordinate and administer the student conduct adjudication process.
Serve as the campus Deputy Title IX Coordinator.
Develop and facilitate proactive, preventative efforts related to student conduct and Title IX across the college.
Serve as an investigator for discrimination violations involving students.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications: (expected to have to enter job)
Bachelor's degree
Experience working with student conduct.
Experience working with Title IX
Experience working with culturally diverse student populations in an educational setting.
Experience developing & presenting workshops and training events.
Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred Qualifications:(desired but not expected to have to enter job)
Master's degree in Student Affairs, Higher Education, or related field.
Familiarity with Maxient reporting software.
Working knowledge of applicable laws including Title IX, Clery Act, VAWA and FERPA.
Experience in dispute resolution, mediation skills, and/or Restorative Justice practices.
Ability to handle stressful situations in a professional manner.
