Job Summary: The Counselor & Access Specialist will provide counseling, crisis intervention, and clinical outreach/educational services to the university community-based in Roanoke. Responsibilities include intake, assessment, time-limited individual counseling, group counseling, outreach, consultation, and crisis intervention in the areas of mental health and wellness. This position will also coordinate Roanoke-based accessibility services for students with disabilities and collaborate with faculty and staff to determine reasonable accommodation strategies for students as needed in the classroom, testing and clinical settings. This position will be responsible for collaborating with colleagues throughout the university (Radford and Roanoke sites).
