Position Summary:
The Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions will support student recruitment and participate in the admissions decision process. In addition to recruiting, the Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions will participate in recruitment events.
Position Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions will support student recruitment and participate in the admissions decision process. In addition to recruiting, the Admissions Counselor will participate in recruitment events.
Recruit students by traveling to high schools throughout the United States
Make presentations to groups of students and/or parents at college fairs at the high schools
Conduct individual admissions interviews at the high schools; follow up and maintain contact with student applicants by phone, email, and personal meetings
Participate in parlor nights for potential students/parents at homes of local supportive alumni
Maintain ongoing relationships with college advisors at the schools
Interview admissions applicants on campus
Provide detail and background to support admissions decisions to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions
Facilitate various kinds of services for incoming students related to student finance, registration, and advising
Coordinate faculty visits and other presentations and special events for feeder schools on their campuses, as well as for visiting schools on YU's campuses
Experience & Educational Background:
Bachelor's degree required
Familiarity with the undergraduate dual curriculum and student experience at Yeshiva University, ideally, having graduated from Yeshiva University
Some degree of knowledge of higher education administration and norms, ideally from having worked in some aspect of higher education administrations, admissions, or student services
Salary Range:
$62,400 - $62,400
