Minneapolis College, a vibrant and inclusive two-year community college in Minnesota, is accepting applications for a full-time, unlimited tenure-track Architectural Drafting/Technology starting fall semester of 2024.
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:
Teaching a temporary part-time load (9-12 credits per academic semester) in Architectural drafting/Technology.
Deliver instruction using a variety of methods including on-site, online and/or hybrid-blended for a wide range of students, including traditional, adult, and English-language learners.
Conduct classroom research and other assessment/evaluation activities.
Mentor and advise students.
Maintain consistent communication with students through office hours, email, and telephone.
Plan, develop, and deliver curriculum.
Support the mission, vision, and core values of the college.
Engage in professional development activities.
Promote diversity and cultural competency.
Required Qualifications:
Associate's degree in architectural drafting/technology or a degree in architecture.
5 year or more working in architecture or a related field.
Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population.
Be knowledgeable about methods of instruction, testing and evaluation of students.
General knowledge of international building codes for residential and commercial.
Advanced knowledge of ADAANSI and Minnesota accessibility standards.
Experience estimating residential construction projects.
Current Architect registration
Knowledge of Auto CAD Revit
Experience with hand and CAD drafting methods, techniques, and guidelines for use in production of construction documents.

Must be in good standing with Minneapolis College for consideration.

Benefits Info:
Faculty salaries currently range from $43,067 – $94,542 annually. Salary schedule placement is determined on the basis of education and experience and in accordance with the 2023-2025 Master Agreement between the Minnesota State Board of Trustees and the Minnesota State College Faculty.
