Basic Function and Scope of Responsibilities: Residence Directors work as full-time, live-in staff members and are the direct supervisors of Resident Assistants. They are responsible for the daily administration of the Residence Halls, addressing facilities concerns, resolving student conduct violations, program planning and serve as a resource for residents within their halls. Residence Directors also serve as a success coach for a caseload of students.   The Success Coach will be a student’s point of contact for everything at the University--from academic advisement to getting involved on campus to financial aid counseling to career development--helping the student to chart and navigate an individual path as part of the LIU family.
