This position is responsible for the coordination and administration of advising and student support for the Online MBA program and certificate students within the Graduate Business Programs department. The position serves as the advisor for all Online MBA and certificate students, is the expert for complex issues, and manages the Online MBA student experience. This position also collaborates and assists in the development and implementation of assigned departmental projects, exercising initiative and independence in the performance of assigned duties.
A bachelors degree, three years of relevant experience and an active Christian faith are required. A master's degree and five years of relevant experience are preferred.
Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time basis.
What You Will Do
Conduct all advising for new and current students.
Create and revise degree plans in accordance with student goals.
Monitor progress towards enrollment goals with Associate Director of Operations and Director of Operations to devise and implement communication plan and strategy to meet enrollment goals.
Provide ongoing and timely communication of registration deadlines.
Process drops/adds and withdrawals, while providing guidance to students in complex situations.
Communicate final grades and action plan for students who earn below a C in Online MBA coursework.
Monitor students eligible for graduation and conduct degree audits to determine eligibility for graduation.
Create and update advising resources, such as degree plans, advising videos, and other related materials.
Utilize CRM to update student records and student outreach.
Build trust and relationships with students through advising, communication, and ongoing support.
Provide excellent onboarding experience for new students, including scheduling and conducting advising appointments and orientation sessions, and communicating next steps and reminders for the start of class.
Cultivate a culture of continuous improvement for the betterment of student services by improving processes and creating efficiency, as needed.
Provide timely guidance to students in decisions with coursework, such as dropping or withdrawing from the term.
Manage and resolve (when possible) escalated student issues related to policies and procedures, course scheduling, and registration.
Work closely with the Associate Director of Operations in Online MBA program to support Online MBA program.
Support initiatives of Graduate Business Programs such as graduation, networking events, and study abroad.
Communicate regularly with the Graduate Business Programs enrollment team to effectively onboard new students.
Communicate with Online MBA faculty regarding student progress in Online MBA courses.
Work with the Graduate School to update student records.
Work closely with administrative partners on resolving student issues (ITS, financial aid, student accounts, and registrar).
Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor's mission.
